North Shore Football: Welcome
And here we are in the second week of our second season!
The NSFL Founders Cup Semi Finals were played last weekend and the teams eliminated were at Peewee: Alexander Park and Western Patriots. We wish good luck to both the Vikings and Sunnybrooke who will play the final this Sunday at GMF at 9:30. We remind the teams to be ready for presentation of the players and bring along all of the necessary documents for the announcer's booth.
At Mosquito, both the Western Patriots and Stallions were eliminated. The final will now be played by Sunnybrooke and Vikings beginning at Noon on Sunday.
Finally, the Atoms final will be determined between the Stallions and the Vikings, A Ma Baie and the Pumas having been defeated last weekend. Their game will be played at GFM on Sunday at 2 pm.

Oct. 24th 9:30 Westpark vs. A Ma Baie at GFM (Peewee)
Oct. 24th 11:30 Cougars vs. Stallions at Bénévoles (Peewee)
Oct. 24th Noon Westpark vs. Western Patriots at GFM (Atoms)
Oct. 24th 2:00 Cougars vs. Alexander at Bénévoles (Mosquito)
Oct. 25th Noon Alexander vs. Cougars at Alexander (Atoms)
Oct. 25th 1:30 A Ma Baie vs. Westpark at A Ma Baie (Mosquito)
The NSFL would like to remind everyone that good sportsmanship is always important and wished all of the teams good luck in the finals.
Et nous voici déjà rendu à la deuxième semaine de la seconde saison!
Les semis-finaux de la Coupe des Fondateurs de la NSFL ont eu lieu la semaine dernière. Quelques équipes ont déjà été éliminé, entre autre: Alexander Park et les Patriotes dans la division Peewee. Nous souhaitons donc bonne chance au Vikings et à Sunnybrooke lors de leur rencontre pour les finaux ce dimanche le 25 octobre à GMF débutant à 9:30. Nous en profitons pour rappeller aux équipes d'être prêt pour leur match dès 9:15 pour permettre la présentation des joueurs.
Au niveau Moustique, les Patriotes de L'Ouest et les Stallions ont été éliminés. Les finaux seront donc entre Sunnybrooke et les Vikings dimanche dès midi au parc GFM.
Finalement, au niveau Atomes, la joute finale sera entre les Stallions et les Vikings, les Pumas et A Ma Baie ayant été éliminés la semaine dernière. La joute aura lieu ce dimanche à 14 heures à GFM.

La NSFL prend l'opportunité de rappeller aux joueurs, aux entraîneurs et aux parents que le 'Good Sportsmanship' est toujours de mise et souhaite à toutes les équipes bonne chance durant cette période cruciale de la saison.

As you can see our 2009 League schedule has been added to the website. You can have a full copy or make your own by choosing only your division Atom, Mosquito or Peewee.
Please take note that the schedule this year is slightly different that in previous years as we have added an Atom and a Mosquito team to the league ... Good Luck everyone and see you on the field!
Comme vous pouvez le constater nous avons ajouté l'horaire des matchs pour la saison 2009. Vous pouvez copier la schedule complète ou encore seulement choisir une division: Atome, Moustique ou Peewee, selon vos intérêts.
Veuillez également prendre note que l'horaire est un peu différente cette année puisque la ligue a grandie. nous avons ajouté une équipe Atome et une équipe Moustique... Bonne chance à tous et on se voit sur le terrain!
Joe Berghello leaves us too soon..
On Saturday the 18th of July, Northshore lost one of its most dedicated volunteer... Mr. Joe Berghello.
Joe Berghello was suprising by the fire that inhabited him when the subject of football was being discussed. A consumate gentlemen, he understood the expectations of the parents and those of the children who joined our organization.
The mantra "as long as the kid plays" was first and foremost. All of his decisions seemed to be guided by this ideal.
He leaves Heather Berghello, a longtime volunteer with the NSFL and his wife of many years, his children and many relatives to mourn his passing. He also leaves a very big pair of shoes for the League to fill. No meeting will be complete without Joe sitting at the head of the table, trying to keep us in line and his booming laugh will always be missed.
Northshore would like to extend their deepest sympathies to the family and hope that they will be spared further sorrow.
A funeral service will be held on the 24th of July at 4 pm at the Salon Funéraire J F Wilson situated at 14370, boulevard Pierrefonds in Pierrefonds with a celebration of Joe's life to follow thereafter.

The Lac St Louis North Football Official's Association is looking for new referees for the upcoming season.
