Diamond Cats Information
The North Port Diamond Cats Baseball Club, Inc. was started in 2007 by North Port High School baseball parents and fans. We are a Non-Profit, Incorporated 501(c)(3) Club, (TAX ID # 26-0431678). We are currently over 40 members strong.
Over the past 2 years with our fund raising, we were able to purchase a new field halo around home plate, extend dugouts, add concrete dugout walls, new fields tarps, field sod, baseball equipment, paint, a pitching machine and even planted palm trees around the baseball and softball fields.
We have monthly ongoing meetings to discuss important information necessary to uphold a rich baseball tradition that has been started here in North Port. We rely strongly on the support of our local community and business for their financial and moral support.
Each summer and fall league plays tournaments in Sarasota and surrounding counties. Our goal is to provide the kids with the proper funding and resources necessary to develop their baseball skills in order to compete at the highest level possible.
This past summer our boys had the honor of being invited to the Southern Florida College Summer Camp (picked above fifty schools) and played in front of dozens of college scouts. Sending them is costly and many parents can’t afford it.
Our fund raising includes car washes, bowling events, pancake breakfasts, spirit nights, casino night and other creative ways to raise money for our kids and their baseball program.
