Friday, July 10
We had plenty of excitement at both St, matthews and north Oldham in tournament games.
At St. Matthews, in the 10 Year olds, North Oldham needed eight innings to beat Nelson County 2-1 in the nightcap. in the First game St. matthews national scored four times in the sixth inning to beat South Oldham.
at North oldham in the 12 year Olds Nelson County got a strong pitching performance from Jared Proctor(12) and J.T. Mattingly(4) combined for 16 strikeouts in beating Valley Sports 4-3. In the First game north Oldham defeated South Oldham 8-5.

Thursday, July 9
In District 2 tournaments Wednesday night at Valley Sports, Valley Sports defeated North Oldham 15-5 to win 10-11 year Old District Championship and will be going to the State tournament in Richmond.
In the 10 Year old tournament at St. matthews, North oldham defeated St. Matthews American 10-2, while Nelson county topped St. Matthews National 12-2.
At North Oldhamin the 12 year olds North Oldham edged Nelson County 2-1 and Valley Sports remained undefeated in pool play by beating St. Matthew national 10-6.
Wednesday, July 8
in Tuesday night games in District 2 Baseball
at North Oldham with the 12 Year Olds Valley Sports defeated North oldham 11-4 while in the night cap South oldham's Davis Culbertson hit a mammoth 2 run homerun in the bottom of the sixth beat St. matthews American 11-9.
in the 11 year old tournament over valley Sports North Oldham shutout nelson County 6-0.
at St. Matthews, Valley Sports edged south Oldham 10-9 and St. matthews National defeated North Oldham 15-13.
Tuesday, July 7
In Monday night action three championships were decided over at Valley Sports. In the 9 Year Old post_season St. Matthews American defeated North Oldham 4-3. In the 11-12 Year old Softball Valley Sports defeated North Oldham 7-5 and will be heading to the state tournament in Prestonburg. Joining them at state will be North Oldham who defeated Valley Sports 4-3 in the 9-10 Year Old Softball. In the 10-11 year old National baseball Valley Sports beat North oldham 10-0 and Nelson County beat South Oldham 4-3.
At St. matthews in the 9-10 Year old national Baseball tournament, Valley Sports beat Nelson County 10-4 and South Oldham defeated St. matthews American 15-5.
At North Oldham St. Matthews American beat nelson County 16-2 and St. matthews national defeated South Oldham 8-1.

Fall ball is just around the corner. We are taking applications for the 2009 Fall ball Season at the concession until June 27th or you can mail it in. Cost is $55 per player We will also be having sign-ups on July 11th 9:00am-12:00PM at Walsh Park. Download the application today.
