First practice will be in late March dependent upon field conditions. All league games will be on Saturday morning beginning April 5th and ending in early June. We epxect that our home field will be Wilson Park for both practice and games this year. Practice times for each team will be announced by the coaches in March (typically twice per week). RILAX does not keep standings nor are there championships at the end of the season. The focus is on fundamentals, learning the game and having fun.

Welcome to North Kingstown Lacrosse where we strive to master The Game through Fundamentals – Teamwork – Sportsmanship – Respect of The Game.
North Kingstown Lacrosse focuses on the fundamentals of the game – each player individually mastering the stick and the art of good defense. North Kingstown lacrosse players understand the importance of teamwork – everyone is important to the team and the team is important to everyone. North Kingstown lacrosse players, coaches, parents and fans practice good sportsmanship at all times and to all participants – it is the right thing to do and it helps everyone to enjoy The Game.
Most importantly, North Kingstown Lacrosse players respect The Game. No matter the outcome – win or lose - good play or bad – we all should be able to step back, appreciate what we saw, learn from it and be thankful we had the opportunity.
In the end it is all about The Game.
The Rhode Island Lacrosse Association (“RILAX”) is pleased to announce the formation
of the “Rhode Island Lacrosse Competitive Youth League” (“CYL”). For the Spring 2008
season, RILAX will expand its successful U-13 and U-15 competitive regional program
by forming teams from regions in R.I. (along with one team from a neighboring state) to
create a competitive league with standings and play-offs at the end of the season.
;
.
The CYL season will run concurrently with the RILAX recreational league but CYL games will be held on Sunday afternoon or Friday evening under the lights and will not conflict with the recreational games played on Saturday. With the exception of one out-of-state game, all the games will be played at fields located in Rhode Island.
Specific game locations and times will be announced prior to the start of the season and once announced will not change during the season. Practices will be held once a week and will be scheduled so as not to conflict with the practice schedule of the recreational teams for each region.
Players will be selected based upon participation at competitive try-outs. Information on the Boys’ try-outs is provided below, and information on the Girls’ program will be released shortly. OMIVE YOUTH LEAGUE
