U16 Head Coach - Leah Johnson
Leah Johnson attended the University of Idaho and graduated with an M.S. in Exercise Physiology.  She played volleyball for UI during the 1990-1994 seasons, during which the Vandals won 3 Big Sky Championships.

U16 Head Coach - Lauryn Herrick
My name is Lauryn Herrick and I am originally from Cypress, California. I went to Cypress High School where I played on Varsity all 4 years. I also played on several different clubs while growing up in that area participating in Junior Olympics every year. I was recruited and played for Lewis-Clark State College for 4 years. While playing there we won Conference all 4 years, participated at Nationals every year, and placed as high as 5th in the nation. Personal awards I had received while playing in college are All-Freshmen Team, 2nd Team All-Conference, 2x 1st Team All-Conference, Conference MVP, and 2nd Team All-American. I have been coaching club teams and camps for 4 years now in Lewiston and Spokane. I recently moved to Coeur d'Alene and am very excited to be apart of the volleyball community here!

Renee Lovell

U16 Black Head Coach - Renee Lovell
Renee is currently an assistant coach at Gonzaga University for women's volleyball while she is obtaining a master's degree through Gonzaga. Bordelon-Lovell attended Lake city High school and graduated in 2006 before going onto play volleyball for Washington State University. She was named a 2009 All-Pacific-10 honorable mention and led her team to a national ranking of No. 18 during the season. Before she transferred to Washington State, Lovell played for North Idaho College in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho from 2006-07. During her career as a Cardinal, Lovell flourished as a setter for head coach Bret Taylor. In 2007 the team finished 21-10 and Lovell averaged 9.95 assists per game while being named second team All-SWAC.

U15 Assistant Coach - Kelsey Stanley
Our U-15 team Assistant Coach Kelsey Stanley, the current assistant volleyball coach at NIC.  Kelsey attended Bottineau High School in North Dakota, where she excelled as a student athlete in volleyball, basketball, and track and field. She earned All-State honors in volleyball and was a five-time state pole vault champion in track. In 2006, Stanley was named North Dakota Athlete of the Year.

Stanley continued her volleyball and track career at Dickinson State University where she became a six-time NAIA All-American in track and field and a four-time national pole vault champion. She completed a bachelor’s degree elementary education at Dickinson State University.

Kelsey lives in Coeur d’Alene with her husband, Keri, who is currently the NIC assistant wrestling coach.

I have been coaching volleyball for a little over 10 years. I have coached at all different levels and currently coach High School JV and U14's club. My passion for this sport and watching the growth and success of young athletes is the reason I coach. I put my heart and soul into every team I get the opportunity to have and I want nothing but the best for all your daughters. I look forward to another great club season with Thunder Volleyball.

I have played volleyball for over 15 years and have had the opportunity to be with North Idaho Thunder for the past 3 years as a head coach and assistant coach. I am looking forward to this season!

U14 Head Coach - Jackie Lenz
I have played volleyball as long as I can remeber, starting with recreation and club volleyball. Continued playing four years of varsity volleyball at Coeur d'Alene High School, followed by two years at North Idaho College. Currently working as a registered nurse, coaching volleyball at Coeur d'Alene High School and beginning my fourth year coaching club volleyball.

Karla was a standout three-sport athlete at Kellogg High School, and continued her volleyball career at NIC.  She has over 20 years of coaching experience, including all levels of club, high school volleyball at Idaho Falls, Coeur d’Alene and Lake City.  Karla was also an assistant coach at North Idaho College, where she now works as a math instructor.  Karla lives in Coeur d’Alene with her beautiful family.

varsity team and 1 year with the Freshman team.
-Club Volleyball coach for 8 years, coaching U12-U16 age groups.
-College Player for LBCC in Long Beach, California
-15 years if experience of youth sports in a variety of roles.

My name is Joyce Robb.  I am the Freshman volleyball coach at Coeur d’Alene High School.  I have 10 years of coaching experience at various levels including high school, club ball and park & rec.  I am thrilled to be leading our youngest players this year as they begin their Thunder careers!
