Indoor Football Conditioning Program



We are starting a new program February 16/17 for an indoor football conditioning program. One night per week for 10 weeks for 2 hours per session.

This program will practice your agility, ball handling as well as some drills for your upcoming 2012 season...get you back in the game!

We would also like for some volunteer coaches and assistants to lead the players in their quest for excellence. 

Juniors ages 8 to 12 - Fridays Feb 17th to May 11th, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm.

Seniors ages 13 to 16 - Thursdays February 16 to May 10th, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm 

Held at École Catholique Montfort, 350 Den Haag, Ottawa, ON K1K 0W9 

Cost per player is $30 for 10 weeks payable prior to first session. A printable form is available under the registration tab or below.

FREE FOOTBALL COMBINE

If you are 14+ you should register and try out this combine. It is great experience if you are interested in playing college football to see what the testing is like and where you need to improve.

1st annual FREE  Football Recruiting Combine. March 24th, 2012. 

A combine is where athletes have the opportunity to showcase their talent and have their results CFI certified. University coaches will have access to the athletes results and will use these when recruiting potential players for their football programs.

If you are interested in getting recruited eother at the University or Jr. Football level, this is the place to go.

CFI aims to simplify the recruiting process for Canadian athletes.

5-Star Performance Camp

Here is a link for a 5 Star Combine/Camp on March 10th with NFL/CFL players. For players from 8th grade to 12th grade.
Players chosen from this camp will move on to higher level camps.

Pre-registration is $85.  

This camp will take place Saturday March 10th from 8am to 2:15pm at the Ben Franklin Dome at 191 Knoxdale Rd.

Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL)



Dear Parent, Players and Volunteers of the NCAFA East Division,
 

The Cumberland Panthers will again field Varsity Football teams in the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). Registrations will take place at Ray Friel on Sunday January 22 noon to 2:00pm and February 5th noon to 2:00pm.
Practices will commence towards the end of February and the season will run from mid May to mid August.

The Ontario Varsity Football League is the largest amateur football league in Ontario and is composed of 23 franchises organized into three levels of play. The three levels are Varsity for players 19 and under and, Junios for players 16 and under and Bantam for players 14 and under. Each level of play has two conferences called the Wettges and Adam.

The leagues's objectives are to teach and encourage fair play, good character, social responsibility and sportsmanship among young athletes. The league's mission is "To provide players ages 19 and under who reside in Ontario, the opportunity to play football where their skills willb e upgraded and oppoortunities provided to continue their football career's through education or junior football." The league promotes amateur football and the development of youth with an emphasis on teaching skill, sportsmanship and developing football fundamentals while playing at a competitive level.

The Cumberland Panthers OVFL teams will be composed of players residing east of Brinson Avenue and areas considered as 'open' by the OVFL.
