Northern Babe Ruth League: Rules

Rules

All team must provide certificate of insurance before season ,NO EXCEPTIONS .

All check need to be in before start of season.or you will be removed from schedule.

All games 7 innings.

Must play 5 innings (4 1/2 for home teams) to be complete game

Players cannot be older than designated age for group they are with .

Age cutoff is April 30 th

Major league rules apply.

No warnings on balks

Double headers should be a home and away game for each team no matter what location you are at .

 2 Umpires should be at all games unless it isn't possible to locate a second one

Umpires must be 18 years old and up

Discuss pricing with ump prior to svheduling them and confirm prices with opposing team before the come to the game.

All umpire fees should be paid by both teams equally

Umpirs should be paid before each game

Drop 3rd strike applies.

Runners may advabce at own risk

Infield fly rules apply

Aluminum bats are used .wood maybe if player so choose

Fields should be in good and safe condition

If coach has a resonable complaint that field is un playable, he may postpone game and contact League director(Northern Babe Ruth) if any questions/discrepancies arise .

All rain outs must be made up

Games may be rescheduled if teams are notified at least one day prior to game .

Any team who shows up with less than 9 players before start of game will be a forfiet.

15 minute allowance may be imposed by umpires to allow for players to make it  before start of game.

Starting players may be reentered in game in same batting order only

Subs may not be re entered

Extra innings should be used to complete game.

All rules in question should be addressed to league director (Northern Babe Ruth)

All questions should be discuussed prior to game by head coaches.
