North County Panthers: Meeting Minutes

NCP MEETING MINUTES February 25, 2013

A. Brooks called meeting to order. 6:37pm
Jenn Guerriero presented some ideas for fundraising, below are some ideas;

1. perhaps once a month do canning.

2. obtain corporate sponsorships per team, they could get banners at games etc.

3. discussion of handing out calendars at registration instead of August, thought was once season starts and peoplehave equipment, no fundraising will take place

4. Tiffany Comeau brought up a seafood raffle, similar to one she had attended, it works similar to a bingo format with DJ, etc.

5. Walk-a-thon but those monies be donated to food bank

Jenn Guerriero then discussed some benefits of the league wide one call system and the registration on line, which will pre-fill a lot of the coaches forms.  Both were thought of in positive light.
Jenn Guerriero also made a suggestion of having laptops at registrations. 
Jenn Guerriero also requested for Dan Guerriero if we could have meeting minutes out quicker for website.  It was also discussed to perform your job function and not others, stay within your realm of responsibility. 

Cheer report was presented by Tiffany C the VP of Cheer.

1. discussed the mandatory clinics that Central MA will impose, not sure of times yet

2. Wants to make sure all cheer coaches sign and discuss coaches code of conduct and hold them accountable to it.

3. spirit pack little change, still wants to keep it $50, possibly exclude the shorts, maybe get polo shirts instead.

4. Looking into the logistics of having the kids acquire their own sneakers

5. Still reviewing prices on uniforms

6. Valerie R was introduced as a student demonstrator  

Football report was presented by Andy Brooks

1. registration dates and times were discussed and flyer was shown

2. practice times, location and game locations were discussed.

3. Central MA weigh-in 8/24 and jamboree 8/25 we shall be in Fitchburg 

4. Discussed the importance of communication and gave accolades to our coaches and team parents, for our past success.
