WHEN IS ALL STARS?
All Stars are announced on June 15th and practice begins June 16th.
There will be 3 outlaw tournaments from June 18th - July 5th. Practices will be during the week and the tournaments will be on the weekends. There will be possible Thursday evening games and sometimes Sundays. Immediately following the outlaw tournaments will be the Little League Tournament. The dates are as follows:
Majors, Juniors, and Seniors Baseball (11-16 year-olds)
The manager, coach and 10 of the 12/13 players will be selected by ballot. The ballot will consist of all players that turned in a commitment letter along with all manager and coach candidates. All players in their respective division, managers, coaches, umpires and board members may vote on the ballot. The ballot will be distributed and collected by a board member at one of your games. The top 10 vote receivers will be placed on the All Star team. The remaining two or three players will be selected by the All Star manager. The All Star manager will also be selected by vote. The All Star coaches will also be on the ballot. The All Star manager will select his coach from the top 2 voted candidates. The All Star team roster will be posted on June 15th at 8am at Hillside. Any 11 year olds who do not make the 11-12 (Majors) team can tryout for the 10-11 team on June 15th at 5:30pm at Hillside. It is encouraged that 11 year-old players put their name on the 11/12 ballot so that the league can vote in the most talented team.
Minors Baseball (9-10 year-olds and 10-11 year-olds)
Each player will be required to attend an All Star tryout, which will be held on Monday, June 15th at Hillside.
10-11 Year-old tryout 5:30pm at Hillside
9-10 Year-old tryout 6:30pm at Hillside
Any 10 year-old can tryout for both teams. If they do not make it onto the 10-11 team they will then be considered for the 9-10 team(s). We encourage our 10 year-olds to play on the 9-10 team to give our league the, potentially, best team possible, but it is up to the player and player's family.
Ten of the 12 or 13 players will be selected by ballot after tryouts. The ballot will consist of all players that turned in a commitment letter and attended the required tryout. All board members, managers, coaches, and umpires of the players’ division will be asked to evaluate all players that elect to participate. The top 10 vote receivers will be placed on the All Star team. The remaining two or three players will be selected by the All Star manager. The All Star manger will be determined prior to the tryout. The All Star manager will be decided on by the league's board. The All Star coach will be selected by the All Star manager.
A second team will be formed if there is sufficient interest to field a JV team. A second team will participate in all of the same tournaments as the first team. The All Star team(s) roster(s) will be posted on June 15th at Hillside as soon as the ballots are counted.
Minors, Majors, and Juniors Softball
Each player will be required to attend an All Star try out if . Normally North Boise inter-leagues with up to two other leagues to form an All Star team. The Softball Player Agent will work with the other leagues to form All Star Teams.
