All umpires must attend one A and one B class, managers and coaches are encouraged to attend.

Parent volunteers are trained to be umpires by District Little League personnel. They give of their time to ensure games are administered safely and fairly to the best of their abilities. Parents and spectators need to bear in mind that these umpires do their best to be fair and impartial while umpiring Little League games. Remember, without them there is no game! If you are willing to umpire, let your coach know, and he/she will make sure you are on the roster.

Every umpire must attend the umpire clinics the District Staff conducts, even if you attended last year. There are two (2) evening classes, offered over a two-week period and a Saturday field clinic. You must attend a session "A" and a session "B" and one of the field clinics to receive your certification. To ensure fairness and safety to all, you will not be allowed to umpire without the certification. T-Ball umpires onlyneed to attend session "A". Upon completion of the class, you will also receive a shirt and rulebook.
