2011: Austin, in his first full season on varsity, struggled at the plate while getting minimal at bats… big day was a two-RBI, two-run game against Muskegon Heights… on the mound, finished with a 3-4 record while striking out 37 and only walking eight… in the conference, won his only start, a 10-0 victory over Ravenna… was also on the mound for the team’s 20th win of the season when he allowed two hits while striking out eight (no walks) in the 6-5 win over Fremont…
2010: Austin played four games on varsity, tossing 5 2/3 innings while allowing just two hits in 18 at bats (.111)… at the plate, made the most of his five at bats with a double, a home run and four RBI… on JV, batted .360 (27-for-75) with 24 RBI and 17 stolen bases… on the mound for JV, posted a 4-2 record with 38 strikeouts in 30 innings…
