Code of Conduct for Parents/Guardians/Spectators

 

The Norfolk Lions’ Youth Soccer program has adapted a “Zero Tolerance” policy. Any infraction of the rules and guidelines could result in a season suspension from all league activities.

Absolutely no un-sportsmanlike conduct will be allowed. This includes booing, taunting, or the use of profane language or gestures. Never ridicule or yell at any participant for making a mistake.

Refrain from instructing the players - leave this to the coaches.

Never enter the field of play.

Respect the officials and their authority during games and never question on confront referees/coaches at the game field.

Always remember the game is for the CHILDREN!

Be a positive role model to the players and display courtesy at all times.

GO OVER THE CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS WITH YOUR CHILDREN BEFORE THE START OF THE SOCCER SEASON AND BE SURE THEY UNDERSTAND.

Code of Conduct for Norfolk Lions’ Youth Soccer Players

Play according to the rules and spirit of the game.

Always display self-control and good sportsmanship.

Be on time and prepared for all practices and games.

Train and play to the best of your ability, have a positive attitude, and encourage your teammates.

Never get upset with yourself, a teammate, coach, or referee for making a mistake - remember, EVERYONE makes them!

If you ever have any questions about soccer, don’t be afraid to talk to your coach.

Always RESPECT your coaches and the referees.

Whether your team wins or loses, always shake hands with the opposing team and congratulate them on a game well played!

Remember that doing your best is more important than winning. Soccer is only a game - Have Fun!
