The Nor'Easter Softball Club will be holding it's next Board Meeting on at 7 pm on Monday, July 9 at the Gilford Town Hall. The meeting will be held in the lunch room of the lower level of Gilford Town Hall.
The purpose of the meeting is to make final preparations for the Nor'Easter Classic. All interested in helping with the tournament are urged to attend.

Nor'Easter Tryouts for 2007 Season
The Nor’Easter Softball Club has announced its Fall Tryout Schedule for the 2007 season. The program will sponsor three squads next year, 14U, 16U, and 18U.
Tryouts will be held on Sunday, September 17 rain or shine at Gilford High School. The 14U tryouts will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. with the 16U tryouts scheduled for 2:30-4:00 at the Gilford High School Varsity Softball Field. In case of rain tryouts will be moved indoors.
Players interested in trying out for the 18U team should contact Tom Carr at 528-5826. Tryouts for the 18U squad are by invitation only.
Players who are unable to make a tryout are encouraged to call their respective coach. The 14U head coach, Darci Blake can be reached at 527-6211. The 16U head coach, Dave Kelly can be reached at 934-4026.
The Nor’Easter Softball Teams are Lakes Region based and are affiliated with ASA, NSA and PONY. The teams will participate in six to seven tournaments in N.H., Maine, Massachusetts, and Canada during June and July 2007.
ASA determines a player’s age based on their age on January 1, 2007. Players who will be 14 on January 1, 2007 are eligible for the 14U’s. Players who will be 16 on January 1, 2007 are eligible for 16U’s. Players who will be 18 on January 1, 2007 are eligible for the 18U’s.
By holding a tryout in the fall, players who are chosen this fall will have a guaranteed spot on a team next summer. A second tryout will be held in the spring in order to fill team rosters.
A parent or guardian is required to accompany their daughter at the tryout in order to sign a waiver of insurance form. Parents must also bring a copy of their daughter’s birth certificate. The tryout fee is $10 and is non-refundable.
