The Diamond Dreams Charity Marathon sponsored by the Twin Rivers Baseball League and Bux-Mont Men's Senior Baseball League took place last weekend at Hackett Park. All player donations will go to the Miracle League of Northampton County.

We'd like to recognize those coaches and teams whose generosity made this charity a success: Ron Guido and the New Jersey Bucks, Dr. Howard Bloom of the New Jersey Knights, Tom Lisinicchia and coach Dennis Morgan of the Lehigh Valley Catz, and Norco Legion All-Star teams coached by Barry Searfass, Chris Medei, Allen Foust, Kevin Hezel and Dwight Pulieri. Also, Mike Rossetti, Don Gentzle and Kevin Stansbury of the Phillipsburg Liners Club and Steve Wagner, Tyler Tocci, and Bob Sopko from Salisbury. Thanks to Lou Tita Jr. for organizing and participating in the final game, and volunteers Rich Lewis, Gordon Santee, Al Cressman, Matt Connolly, Lou Tita, Ron Woods, Ken Hank, Chris Balz and the city of Easton.

Beginning at Bucky Boyle Park in 1989 as "50 Hours of Baseball," the charity became Diamond Dreams in 2004 with its affiliation with The Miracle League of Northampton County. Ed Bartholomew chaired the event from 1989 to 2004. We thank the hundreds of volunteers throughout the years whose dedication and enthusiasm made this possible.

Chairman, Diamond Dreams Charity
