Welcome to The Birches Website

The Birches American Legion Baseball Team is participating in its 19th year of competition in the Northampton County American Legion Baseball League. The league, which is divided into 4 divisions consists of 16 teams playing in locations throughout Northampton and Monroe counties. The Birches compete in the Northern Division along with Kemp Post, Roseto and East Stroudsburg.

The Birches play their home games at the Saylorsburg Playground Field located in Saylorsburg, PA. Any young man living in the Pleasant Valley School District, Hamilton Twp. or the Tannersville/Reeders area and are between the ages of 15 and 19 are eligible to play. Many of the players on the team participate in high school baseball at Pleasant Valley or Pocono Mountain East High Schools. Some team members play at the collegiate level.

Coming off a disappointing 5-17 season the team hopes to turn things around during the 2003 campaign. The team returns 10 players from last year and the addition of several varsity regulars from Pleasant Valley and Pocono Mountain East High Schools promises to make 2003 an exciting season.
