  • Our next in-person registration is Saturday June 9 at the East Coventry Community Day (Ellis Woods Park).  NRK will have a table set up from 12-4 for registration and information.  This IS NOT an early bird registration.  The fee's for registration are as follow:  Flag Ch/Fb $90 (no late fee's added to Flag), Tackle Fb $200 and Tackle Ch $159.  Please click on the registration tab to the left to downlaod the registration forms for this season.  Any questions email Carrie Worrell at nrkfc@aol.com. 
  • NRK's ANNUAL CAR WASH and BAKE SALE- Saturday June 16th from 8am-1p.m. at the NORCO Firehouse. Come out and help our cheerleading squads raise funds to obtain new uniforms. Cost of Car Wash is a donation of any amount to the organization. For information about volunteering for this event email Marley Venezia at mven33@hotmail.com
  • If you are in interested in coaching football for the 2012 season please email Chris Galloway at coachcgatnc@aol.com.
  •  Each year OJR HS host a football camp.  This camp is offered to all boys/girls 4th to 9th grade.  Please click on the following link for more information and registration.  This is not a OJR sponsored event.  The link is www.wildcatcoachescamp.com.

Norchester Red Knights are proud to announce that we are now members of the Bux-Mont League of Pop Warner® Football and Cheerleading. 

Below are some of the highlights that make the change in league very exciting:

  • More Competitive Football - Pop Warner has a tiered structure that creates a fair and competitive game and an environment that provides for the best experience for the player.
  • Teams are still determined by weight and age: Age and weight ranges are a little different from what we are used to from past years, but provides greater flexibility for players and the organization.
  • More Playing Time: Minimum play requirements vary depending on the roster size but the average is about 10 plays per game, not including special teams. Play counts are tracked by the opposing team and submitted each week.
  • Scholastic Requirements: Pop Warner also values academics, which the requires the participants to perform adaquately in the classroom before permitting them to play. The standards set forth will provide the children with a sense of resopnsibility and an appreciation for academics and athletics that will help them develop later in life.
  • Regional and National Playoffs: Unique to Pop Warner teams is the incredible experience offered during playoffs. National Championships are held in Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The Bux-Mont League has recently had three of its associates compete for National Championships in Florida.

This is an exciting time for NRK and the community.  To take full advantage of the opportunities that are offered by this move, WE NEED TO REGISTER NOW! With all of the flexibility provided, the organization must declare our teams (how many teams and in which weight groups...).  Pop Warner teams typically end registration in May, so please come out now and register for the fall season.
