NO EXCUSES Step into INDY HEAT Uniforms replacing departing Stars.

Some things in Indiana are certain. Stars are born ...and then they leave. With the departure of the class of 06' and most notably Greg Oden, DeqUAN Cook and Mike Conley the SPEICE IndyHeat team loses a pretty good group of players with White, Titus, Cheatam and a few others the ranks of the Indy Heat were decimated. COach COnley looked around to fill the jerseys. With his eye on the future the consistently competitive No Excuses team caught his eye. Rather than go out and recruit an entirely new team to build around returners Aaron Pogue, Chris Wright, Damien WIndham and Qadr Owens COach decided to fill the Jerseys with a proven team of winners. Adding the NO Excuses team as a whole gives an opportunity to add seasoned veterans to the remaining IndyHeat roster. Both Clubs will benefit from the personnel changes. All the kids have spent the entire last year playing 17U as Coach Betts played the 16 U kids up last year and the remaining kids from IndyHeat played up with the departed kids. Look for the same tenacious D that the NO Excuses kids are famous for. WIth the quickness and length of the Dunbar and Lawrence NOrth Kids the defense should be even more intense. Scoring punch is inside out as Damien, Q, Aaron and Tommy all played in State Finals games this year in the post positions while the No Excuses guards have become great penetrators with the ability to penetrate and finish or kick to the open man. The three ball comes from many directions on this team and most of the kids have the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rack. FUnny question becomes ...who or what do you consider the guards. ALL the kids have the ability to run the floor, put the ball down and get to the rack or spot up and shoot the three. Very dangerous comibinations. Steven, Jeff, John , Jeremy, Ryan, TY join the kids above to carry on the proud and successful IndyHeat/No Excuses traditions ....just WInbaby!!!!!
