The smell of a championship fills the air at NMB. There's no doubt about it the coaches will be pushing their players to the limit to capture for all a State ring. After all that say and done thru all the sweat and cheers all will glance down on to see that state ring on our finger. The smiles and sportsmanship for all that gather around our 2008 NMB Chargers baseball team. For there's a smell of a baseball championship that fills the air at NMB.

Coach Burgos after 1 yr of being a HeadCoach has 3x more kids in try-outs than ever before. Now JV has a Coach from the Boston RedSox in 2008. We are all excited he's with us. We now have the best coaches, but now all that want to play with us must make their commentent to be the best also. All of our coaches want our kids 1 day to play in the Major Leagues. Lets as all come together as a team & make this happen. Coach Burgos & his coaches want all interested kids to try-out for our teams.

BasPractice has begun for the 08 JV baseball season .John's reminds all players to know how to play their positions: Infielders if it's a pop-fly you still have to catch the ball just past the infield. No excuses to not try. Outfielders run for the ball if hit down the line. Batters move the runners over. And don't bunt after the 2nd strike. Bunt the ball down the line, but not to the pitcher. When you're on the field concentrate what you have to do to win. With a runner only on 2nd a hit to the SS only run when throwing to 1st. It's very important to think when the ball is in the infield. When you're batting & hit the ball look at 1st base only then listen to 1st base coach. Look at the 3nd base coach, pitcher then batter when on any base. 2 wks. left of practice before you play intra-squad. Play like Major Leaguers, we're aspect that of you; nothing less is acceptable. The more practice the better you'll get.Stay as long as possible after-practice. We'll be playing sandlot baseball as kids. This will be on the softball field. You're showcasing your talent to me. Your spirit & deterimination as a kid coming to a playground to play with other kids.That's what JV baseball is all about Coaches getting you ready for High School Varsity.
