Area youth took part in the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick Competition hosted by the New London Athletic Association on September 1st at New London High School.

These youngsters earned first-place in thier respective age groups:

 Boys 12 to 13

Michael Phillips from New London Ct with a score of 152

Girls 10 to 11

Sophia Formiglio from Bozrah Ct with a score of 124

Girls 12 to 13

Elisa Formiglio from Bozrah Ct (last years girls New England Regional Winner)  with a score of 174

These winners now will move on to a sectional competition, to be heldat CEPPA Field, in Meriden Ct.  They could qualify for the Team Championship competition, to be held in conjunction with an NFL game.

The NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick football competition allows youngsters to showcase thier talents in punting, passing, and kicking with scores based on distance and accuracy.

A number of former and current NFL players have competed in Punt, Pass & Kick including record setting quarterbacks Dan Marino and Drew Bledsoe.

The "NLAA" wishes all of our local winners GOOD LUCK during thier next level of competition and invites all area youth next year to come out and participate in next years competition.
