Greetings,

My name is Aaron Phillips and I am the President of the New London Athletic Association.

The NLAA is a nonprofit bonded organization listed with the State of Connecticut as well as the Federal Government.

It is the intent and purpose of the NLAA to provide a forum and amicable avenue of redress for like-minded individuals who believe that athletics and community involvement can provide the foundation for good citizenship.

We are seeking members and affiliations to help promote our cause as well as enhance the recreational experience of the children of the City of New London.

Currently the NLAA has offered its stewardship to the New London Parks Conservancy ICO the Winthrop Park and Green's Harbor Beach Park.

It is not our intent or endeavor to compete with or replace any existing organizations but rather compliment them and provide a forum for amicable discussion with regards to our mutual interests in athletics and promoting good citizenship.

With the realization that the City budget is tenuous at best, we encourage not only our members but also everyone to be proactive in the upkeep and maintenance of City facilities without violating any contractual obligations that may exist.

My message is not one of solicitation, but I would be amiss if I did not atleast mention that "Standard" membership in the NLAA is $25.00 per person per year and "Trustee" membership is a one time donation of $1,000 dollars.

In conlusion, we look forward to working with individuals and organizations on common goals and projects.
