Welcome to the Website for the Kentucky Rage select baseball team!
For 2009, the Rage will play in the prestigious 12u NATIONAL Division of the SW Ohio (AABC) baseball league, recognized nationally as one the most competitive baseball leagues in the country! Besides a playing in a great league, the team will play in several regional tournaments including the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina!
Our coaching staff's main goals are to provide the boys a learning, encouraging environment, stressing fundamental & aggressive baseball while allowing them to compete against competitive teams which will sharpen their skills for high school ball. We also want the boys to have fun (that is what it's all about) and create lasting memories with their parents & friends.

The KY Rage participated in the Ripken Experience "Summer Slam" over the 4th of July week and played some of the region's top teams. The team made a big splash early in the skills competition when Noah Robinson won the Home Run contest in a dramatic tie-breaker playoff. Then, the team took over the best time in the "Turn Two" competition, only to loose by 1/10th of a second and finish as runners up in a 20-team field.
In Pool play action, the rage won two games, over the Upper Arlington (OH)Bears 8-7, and the Springfield (NJ) Minutemen 11-4, advancing to the championship bracket as the West Region's 3rd seed. However, in the playoffs, the Rage lost to the Holly Springs (NC) Hawks in a hard-fought 6-3 game.
Overall, the Ripken Experience was a great opportunity to play against top competition while enjoying the beach in 90+ degree heat (and meet Cal Ripken himself)!

Over Memorial weekend in the 21-Gun Salute tournament, the Rage put on a defensive show, making several dazzling plays to propel them to the championship game. In the finals, in a 9-inning marathon with the Midland North Cincy Braves, the Rage fell one run short in a heartbreaker 5-4.
However, the Rage played solid baseball throughout, breezing through seed games with wins over the Florence Storm (8-0) and Springboro Destroyers (11-7), then advancing through single elimination by knocking off the Cinti Patriots (14-4) and a hard fought win over the Cinti Astros (3-2).
The 11u Rage also advanced to the finals,in their age group, only to be rained out in the championship game.
Congratulations to both the 11u & 12u for a terrific weekend of exciting baseball!

The Rage find their bullpen and sweep the field to win the May Day Extravaganza Championship at Hammersville, OH (Flash Baseball).
After a rough patch of games recently, the team got into a grove on the mound over the weekend at the beautiful Hammersville, OH baseball complex. Everyone turned in solid efforts, including Chris Ruedebusch, Trev Works, Noah Robinson & Alex Brownell along with Paul Wilburn & Grant Moeves who both turned in complete game gems as well.
On offense, the team was led by Noah Robinson who had a terrific all-around tourny (at the plate, on defense and on the mound). Noah went 7-14 with a 270' homerun and triple!
Alex Brownell led all hitters, going 7-12 and smashing 4 doubles, while Brenden Stanley knocked in game winning hits in both wins over Flash Baseball. The team only trailed in 1-inning during the 5-game span, playing solid baseball in all phases!
