NJ Xplosion 16U Black: Team News

The 16U NJ Xplosion recently competed in the 16U USSSA Fastpitch World Series held July 16-23 in Orlando. The Xplosion ended the week with a record of 5-4, placing 5th overall in the field of 32 teams. There were teams competing from 20 different states in this tournament.

The Xplosion defeated the following teams during the course of this event: Kentucky Rockers (who ended the tournament in 2nd place), Virginia Sage (the VA state champions), Georgia Blue Thunder (who ended the tournament in 7th place) , Ligonier Valley (PA) Shock (who ended the tournament in 9th place) and the Southern California Diamonds (who ended the tournament in 13th place).

Overall, it was a very successful tournament for the Xplosion with strong pitching performances and excellent defense throughout. Thanks to all of the players for their hard work and endurance, having played four games back-to-back at one point in 95+ degree weather.
