|
| In order to properly prepare the girls for playing at the college level and to provide personal guidance during the recruitment process, two new coaches have joined existing coach Tom Fink!
Our new Head Coach will be Ron Celestin, Women’s Assistant Coach at Princeton University and Head Trainer/Assistant Coach for the Wildcat’s U-23 Team. Our new Assistant Coach will be Jess Painchaud, standout former player at Villanova University.
Many of you know Tom from his years working with the ODP Program, coaching other State Cup-winning teams, or watching him play in college or the Men’s League.
Along with Tom’s existing soccer resume, we will be posting coaching resumes of both Ron and Jess. All three have impressive backgrounds, and all three have already started assisting players in contacting potential colleges.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A TRYOUT, PLEASE CONTACT RON CELESTIN DIRECTLY.

Ron Celestin enters his 13th season with the Tiger women’s soccer program in 2007. In addition to his coaching duties at the University, Celestin also teaches health and physical education at Riverside Elementary School in Princeton.
In February 2005, Celestin was honored by the Princeton Public Library as one of its “Unsung Heroes,” an award honoring members of Princeton’s African-American community “who in their own way have contributed vastly to the overall development and fiber of Princeton and the surrounding area through their profession, community service activities, talent or their everyday lives.”
Celestin was also one of 500 recipients nationally, across all sports, of the AFLAC National Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2003.
As an undergraduate at West Virginia Wesleyan, Celestin was a defender on the 1984 NAIA national championship team. He also played at junior college soccer powerhouse Mercer County Community College.
Celestin played semipro soccer for Team New Jersey from 1985 to 1990 and was also instrumental in starting the New Jersey Wildcats, who compete in the W-League. His coaching experience includes stints with several N.J. Select teams and a 10-year tenure at Princeton High School, during which time he led the Little Tigers to one state championship.
