New Jersey District 19: Welcome

Thursday, April 14

During regional meetings this past winter throughout the world, including the 2016 Regional Roundtables, District Administrators, Assistant District Administrators, and other volunteers, discussed a 10-item agenda with modifications regulations and playing rules for Little League Baseball® and Little League Softball®.

After an amendment process, more than 400 delegates voted on these 10 agenda items, voting to approve two non-tournament items and four tournament items. Following discussions at the annual spring meeting of the Little League International Board of Directors, five of these six items will be implemented immediately for the 2016 season, with the other being implemented beginning with the 2017 season.

Information about all of these items including complete wording of new regulations and playing rules and voting results, can be found on Please be sure to communicate all of these changes with your volunteers and parents.

Little League will also host a Little League University (LLU) Live event to discuss these changes for the 2016 season. Details are as follow:

WHAT: LLU Live - Topic: Regulation and Playing Rules Changes for the 2016 Season

WHEN: Thursday, April 21, 12:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time
