Nippersink Baseball Association: HOME TEAM REQUIREMENTS

This is a list of requirements for all Teams when hosting a Nippersink game on your field. Also the recommended Specifications for your field.
1. Home team must supply a minimum of three-four "NEW" baseballs. We recommended Rawlings "PONY Baseball Approved" league balls (Picture Below), but any "Pony" approved baseball is ok.
2. Home team must supply at minimum one patched umpire. (See Umpire Requirements for details)
3. Field must be properly groomed and ready for play. The following is expected:
a. The field should be in good playing condition.
b. Their shall be a foul line using chaulk or other white material on both the first base & third base lines. These lines should be 2 inches (0.05m) wide. Additionally a restraining line, lociated along the first base line and extending 3 feet (.091m) beyond first base. This line, paralleling the first base foul line and 3 inches (0.91m) into foul territory, shall be marked with chaulk or other white material 2 inches (0.05m) wide. point of orgin for the restraining line from home base shall be one half the distance between home plate and first base.
c. Home Plate, the Pitchersplate, and the bases shall be official size as used in regulation baseball.
In the event of a field being un-playable, the umpire declairs the field un-fit for play.
4. RECOMMENDED FIELD SPEC's
a. The proper distance between bases is 80 feet (24.38m) The distance from home plate to the center of second base should be 113 feet 2 inches (34.49m)
b. The distance from home plate to the pitchers plate should be 54 feet (16.46m)
c. The height of the pitchers mound above the level of home plate and the base paths shall not exceed 8 inches (0.20m) and should be rased by a gradual slope.
d. The recommended distance from home plate to the backstop is 40 feet (2.44m)
e: The recommended Home Run distances for Nippersink Baseball is 275 feet (83.82m) down the foul lines and 315 feet (96.01m) to center field.
If the field is deemed to not be in playing condition by an umpire, the game will be postponed, and the HOME team will arrange for re-schedule. Please see league notification rules.
