Player, Family, Friend, Sponsor, or Fan...and of which team you are associated with. If you enter a limited or vague text message, you may only receive Fan access. It's free and only takes a minute to register. If you recv fan access only and want to become a member, notify your manager and they will contact us for approval.  Thank you!

>Explore the Site!! Take time to click thru the Nipp website as after the 1st pitch, all the news, schedules, scores and game information is posted here. Read the POSITIVE COMMENT section as the mgrs/coaches begin posting their results after each game.

>Play Ball!! Here we go again in Northern Illinois as the 2011 Nippersink PONY Season is coming upon us and this year is looking to be better then ever with all competetive teams! We appreciate everyone's time and talents this past season, and we know that you are giving it your all for all the PLAYERS involved.  We want every player to continue their development in a professional and quality environment and the Nippersink League knows that our Managers, Coaches, UMPS, Front Office, Community Director's, Parents, Fans and Players, are the ones that make the difference!

>The 2011 Nippersink Pony League is a 13-14U coed league comprised of teams from communities located in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Current member communities include Antioch, Genoa City, and Lake Villa.  These communities involved have been deeply commited to providing well balanced and talented teams over the past several seasons. The season begins in April and continues through June. Playoffs follow the regular season. All-Star games are also played at a specific site, on one weekend day during mid-season between selected teams. Equal numbers of players are selected from each team by their peer players. For further details, please stay tuned to this website and view updates as they are posted. Please also feel free to view the specific links of current member communities if you are interested in participating. All website members must follow website membership rules. If you are serious about playing within a league that hosts players with elevated talents only, this league is for you. If you are coming from a league of 12 yr old players, and because Pony baseball is a "giant" step forward from Little League, we request that you fully research this next level of baseball before you make the commitment to play in a higher level league. If you're seriously interested in elevating your players level of talent and you intend to commit to High School baseball when your player becomes a Freshman, then this league is for you.

May Headlines and Updates!

5/5/10 - All Star games update!! Great news from the Nipp front office--we have expanded the number of players to 4 per team, plus 1 alternate! A reminder that alternates do not suit up unless notified. ALL VOTES DUE TO THE "GOP" EMAIL BY THIS SUNDAY NIGHT!!!  All Star games are just over a week away in Genoa at 10a, 1p and 4p

5/5/10 - Mgrs....If you are entering your own scores and info on the website...Please make sure that you enter your pitching stats EVERY game accurately. If you do not, you risk the chance of a penalty which could include forfeiture of the incorrect games(s). We're asking you to double check your info ASAP before our review this Friday. Also, pitching stats are entered under the PITCHING tab, not the hitting tab. Please see below for examples between the two. Not meant to pick on any one team just want to make sure you understand what we’re talking about before we take action on Friday.

Thank you.

5/02/10 - It's all up from here!! Is it LV Green, Gray or Orange this weekend to break out from the jam-up at the top of the National Division?! The defense of these teams appears to be solid, as does LV Maroon, but the difference appears to be pushing runs over the plate. Our other National Division teams have shaken off the winter doldrums and the Nipp front office thinks there is momentum building...look out above!

In the American Division we have teams trying to break away early, but teams are determined to not let that happen this year! With only two undefeated teams at this point in the season and four teams all within a game or two, the Nipp front office knows how important it will be for every team in both divisions to play all of their games this season, as we expect the end of the season to be one of the best in our history! Our other teams in the American Division continue to improve and with the weather starting to heat up, we think these teams will be on their way!

This season is off to a great start and Managers are working well with their players, parents and each other--keep up the positive approach and good luck teams!

5/02/10 - The All Star games are just a couple of weeks away and the Nipp front office wants to remind every player and coach to review the All Star section of the website and remember, only players vote! More reminders and information will follow in the days ahead.

5/02/10 - Coach, please reschedule our game! Already we are seeing some difficulty with teams affected by weather or field conditions to RESCHEDULE games. The Nipp front office is not sure why this is happening, as make-up dates are plenty, but calls or emails from Managers are few. Remember what happens when your team does not reschedule in the required time-frame!

2010 Season Begins

4/18/10 - Here we go!! We are underway with the 2010 season and players are shaking off the winter blues in some unseasonally warm spring temps. The parks look in great shape and the Nipp front office is looking forward to reviewing the results from the first week! Good luck teams!

4/12//10 - It's Opening Week!! And only 4 days from this Monday before the first pitch...that's when Northern Illinois and Southern WI's best 13-14U players will be squaring of in another great Pony Baseball season...

Two of the Board members are ready to be put out to pasture and the third is showing signs! Four to six new members will be great and we will help transition during the 2010 season.--Nipp Board

>Mar 24, 2010-- The 2010 Schedule DRAFT has been sent to every team from Ash and we appreciate your TIMELY review and any changes. The schedule is one of the MOST cumbersome requirements of our season and your quick response is appreciated! We understand additional changes may occur prior to the first pitch, and even during the season, these changes will be made as they come in--good luck and thank you!

>Mar 2010-- The 2010 season kick-off meeting is just around the corner!  Join us @ 7p on April 7th at 332 Fellos in Genoa located at 332 Fellows Road, Genoa, WI where we will serve up the 2010 season! Each team needs 1-Manager and 1-Coach to attend for a quick review of the 2009 season, winter meetings recap, website instructions, team requirements, new changes for 2010, rules review and general FAQ's, while enjoying some great food and drinks! (Food only provided by Nipp)

>Jan 2010-- The Nippersink Pony League will be posting "all" the new changes voted in by the Community Director's during the October 2009 mid by mid February 2010. Early highlights include; The new season will allow for "drafted and non-drafted teams" to participate among their selected levels of talent, as well as the ability for schedules to be adjusted to accomodate players school and practice schedules.  We anticipate 20 - 24 teams to compete in the 2010 Nippersink Pony League and with additional rule adjustments designed to enhance player development and team competitiveness, helping each player be more prepared for High School Baseball which is our goal.

Other recent changes....including explaination of recent league structure changes

During the Fall of 2009, one of our long standing and founding league members decided that their teams have not been as competetive as they would have liked to be over the passed several seasons, and felt that their overall record at seasons end, along with their annual level of talent, did not match up well to the Nippersink's current team skill levels, or structure, over the past several years.

It was then that they decided to reach out to other similar communities within Nippersink league that seemed to be experiencing the same results, and suggested that if they "pooled" their groups of kids together into thier own smaller league, possibly they could help address their immediate needs and concerns. This was also done with the intent that they could then play within a league that would be less competetive, allow much fewer season games, and could be viewed more as an "instructional" expeirence such as an "in house", or a "recreational" league.

We would like to wish Spring Grove/Richmond, Hebron, Johnsburg, Wonder Lake, and Fox Lake, the very best as they move forward on their new endeavor. And we'd like to thank them for all they have done over the years and wish them the very best for years to come!

As we move forward, with your countinued feedback...we will continue to try and identify where teams should be equally and fairly matched up and structured within divisions as we have in the past. It is also within our best interest to properly educate new parents and coaches of the changes that are associated at this level. This in turn will help the players ultimately grow their game within higher levels of competition.

Feb 3 2009 League Mtg

Listed below are the notes from the Feb 3rd 2010 Mtg. Great job by all and thanks for the feedback! Please send in your team info as soon as you have it and we will begin loading teams into Divisions! Thanks!

MTG NOTES

HI Guys, i think we got a lot accomplished last night, and the upcoming season looks like it will be a lot of fun.

Notes: Lake Villa will most likely have 10 teams, and they will be in their own division (National). Antioch will have 3 teams; Genoa City, 4 teams; Wauconda, 1 team and possibly another, WSTK, 1 team and possibly another. These 9-11 teams will make up the American Division.

Each town should send David Aschermann their field availability as soon as the information is known. A questionnaire is attached to this email. Total games: 26 (most likely 18 divisional and 8 inter-divisional). Records will only count within the division.

Playoff system: All teams will be eligible to enter the playoffs. Assuming there are 10 teams in each division, the bottom 4 teams would compete in a "play-in" game (eg, 7 vs. 10, 8 vs. 9), and then the top 8 teams from each division would play tournament style (ie, 1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc...). The winner of each division would play in a final World Series game for league champ.

Season Dates: March 18: initial coaches meeting to discuss rules, conduct, etc. (MVP)

April 7: 2nd coaches meeting/mixer. Review schedules, rules, etc. (GC, Fellows) April 16: Season begins

May 15: All star game in GC (ALSO Armed Forces Day) 4-6 teams

June 13: Regular season ends

June 14-17: Make up week (games can only be scheduled during this week after June 1)

June 18-20: Nippersink Tournament at LV ("Friendly" tournament for any team that wants to participate before the playoffs). Pitching limited to 2 innings/game; game times 1h 50 min. Details to come

June 21: Play-in games; playoffs begin

June 26: Divisional Finals

June 27: World Series
