Attitude Settle For 4th In Classic Bracket at AAU Nationals!!
Another game of missed oppertunities is all you can say as the Attitude had to settle for 4th place in the Classic Bracket of this years AAU 15U National Tournament that was played in Orlando, FL. As good as we played to come back and beat the Lady Heat, we played as bad tonight and lost to the Comets 58-45. No defense and no hustle cost us this game. After trailing most of the game, we took our first lead at the 7 minute mark of the game, only to see the Comets rell of 14 straight points to pull away with the win. What can you say but thrilling. Down 15 points at half and taking our first lead of the game with about 2 minutes left, is all you can say as the Attitude beat the Cincinnati Lady Heat 65-63 to make it into the Classic Bracket Final Four. We will play the another team from Massachusetts, the Philly Comets at 7pm tonight. Another game down and another win. Well it's the Classic Bracket, but we are still playing and still winning. We beat the D.E.B.O. Lady Express 69-41. Nothing like a bad team to cure what ailes you. That is just the case this afternoon as the Attitude beat the Florida Winning Ways Eagles 84-41 in their first game of this years Classic Bracket Play. Sometimes even when things go well and we play good, we lose. That was the case tonight playing against #8 seeded Orlando Comets Red. Playing for 1st in our pool, we played pretty close and only down 4 with about 6 minutes to play, but we could not get over the hump and lost 78-66. With that loss and a Fencor loss, we ended up 4th in our pool and will play tomorrow at 1pm in the Classic Bracket. Well, sometimes they say nothing takes out the bad taste of losing better than a win. That's just what the Attitude did this morning with a 58-55 win over Dayton Lady Metro Stars. Nothing went well this afternoon as we could not stop the Fencor team from Massachusetts. The first half was ok with us only trailing 21-18. The second half saw us completely fall apart and lose our opener 81-54.

BENTONVILLE — Tom Halbmaier thought he had divided Bentonville’s girls fairly evenly for their intrasquad basketball scrimmage Tuesday night.
Niki Wilson’s early shooting proved otherwise. The junior guard scored all her team-high nine points during a 19-2 run in the early moments of the Lady Tigers’ 22-minute scrimmage, leading the White team to a convincing 33-14 victory over the Black team in Tiger Arena.
“Niki shot the ball well, and we need her to do that,” Halbmaier said. “I thought the two teams were evenly split, but the White team played much better and shot the ball much better.“I thought both squads need to improve some on their defense, but this was a good time for the girls to get the nervousness out of their system.
”Montana Lewis scored the first points on a jumper, but it was the only points the Black team scored for more than 13 minutes. By the time Asia Patterson broke the dry spell on an inside bucket with 7 minutes, 29 seconds left, the White team’s domination was already in effect.
Wilson scored nine of the White team’s first 11 points, hitting a trio of 3-pointers in less than 3 minutes. Brittany Spychalski capped the run with her basket at the 10:12 mark, and the White team never got any closer than 15 points.
Junior guard Maddie Morton, who had only two practices since coming to basketball from cross country, led the Black team with nine points.Bentonville’s girls return to action next Tuesday when the
Lady Tigers open their regular season at home against Pea Ridge.
