I am Coach Melvin, and I'd like to welcome all visitors to the official home of Natomas Nighthawks Football on the web. The 2008 football season will be my second as Varsity football coach, and the future is now. Natomas High School is located right off of I-80 in the Natomas area of Sacramento, California, and is home of some of the finest sporting facilities in the state. In 2008 we will be breaking in a brand new state of the art "Field Turf" football field, surrounded by a brand new all weather track. The football program has a history of success, and I personally coached in the program during a 5-year period when we averaged more than 7 wins a year and won a league championship. We intend on returning to that championship form sooner rather than later. In 2007 our JV team took a step in that direction, winning 7 games and finishing second in the TCC. As Juniors on the 2008 Varsity squad, they will look to build on that success. My coaching staff and I are committed to creating the preeminent football program in the state of California. As part of achieving that goal, the football program has made it our focus to reach the "NEXT LEVEL in 08!" Hopefully, this site will serve as a tool for all those interested in Nighthawks football.
