The Niagara Snappers tuned up for the 6th annual Snapper Shootout with an 8-1 6 inning mercy with over the Niagara Dawgs.
The Snappers split up the pitching duties with Jason picking up his 2nd win of the season going 3 innings and striking out 7 along the way. Matt Lyon picked up Paylove pitching a scoreless inning and striking out the side. Mike Bateman allowed 1 unearned run to go along with 2 strikeouts and Scott Young pitched the final frame.
The offense was led by Scott Young who belted his 2nd home run of the season with 2 RBI's. Perry Bartley also went with the long ball going 2-4 with his 1st GHFL home run of the season and 2 RBI's. Mike Bateman continued to swing the hot bat, with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's.
The Snappers will host the Snapper Shootout on the weekend and continue with their GHFL play on Thursday June 11th at 8:30pm against the Red Hot Chili Pepper.
