The Niagara Snappers are happy to announce 3 roster additions for the upcoming 2009 season. Ryan Rothwell, Glen Crocker and Matt Lyon have all agreed to join the Snappers for the year.
St. Catharines resident and former member of the St. Catharines A's, Ryan Rothwell will be joining us for the 2009 season. Ryan grew up playing fastball with a number of current Niagara Snapper players and will see time behind the dish and in the outfield.
Matt Lyon has agreed to join the team on a part time basis. Matt continues to play ISC ball with the Jarvis Gamblers and will be able to help the Snappers out for the GHFL season. Matt is a local St. Catharines residentand former member of the St. Catharines A's. He has played with the Jarvis Merchants/Gamblers over the last several seasons. He previously played with the Fury in the GHFL.
Glen Crocker has agreed to join the team on a full time basis for the 2009 season. Glen spent the last few seasons with the Niagara Falls Dawgs and joined the Snappers last year at the ISC World Tournament. Crock belted the first ever WT homerun in the Snappers history. Glen is a versatile player, carries a solid stick from the left side of the plate and brings a bit of youth to the team. Glen will spend time catching and playing outfield for the team this year.
