The Niagara Snappers (ranked #21) took on Circle Tap (ranked #8) faced off at the 2008 ISC World Tournament this morning with Circle Tap using their experience at the senior level to come back from a 3-0 deficit and defeat the Snappers 10-3. The loss drops the Snappers to 1-2 with the team now having to face Kegel Knights (ranked #20) at 3pm today with the winner moving on in the tournament and the loser going home. Jamie Simpson started for Niagara and held Taps bats in check through 3 innings before getting into trouble in the 4th. Tom Berube came in to relieve Simpson but Taps offense was already on track at that point and they exploded for 7 runs over the next inning. The Snappers offense was led by Scott Young who blasted a solo home run, Mike Reilly who had a double and an RBI, and Perry Bartley who had 2 hits. Kevin Newhouse also had a triple and an RBI.
