WT Game #2 - Snappers Go Long

The Niagara Snappers (ranked #21) took on the Thompson Merchants (ranked #27) in World Tournament play on Monday night in Kimberly, Wisconsin.

The Snappers bats finally woke up, pounding out 6 hits including 2 home runs en route to a 6-4 win.  Trevor Falk hit a towering 2 run blast in the bottom of the 3rd inning and Glen Crocker followed that up with a clutch 3 run home run in the bottom of the 4th inning.  Crocker's teammate on the Niagara Falls Dawgs in the GHFL, Tom Berube, got the start on the mound for the Snappers and looked strong.  Berube struck out 10 batters, allowing only 2 earned runs to pick up the win.  Adam Dearborn continued to swing a hot stick going 1-1 with an RBI and a walk.

The Snappers now await the loser of Circle Tap (#8 ranked) and Vancouver (#9 ranked).  Both teams are strong and Niagara is in for a battle with whoever they face.  A win in that game and the team continues on in the tournament, a loss and they will play at 3pm that same day.  Game will be on Wednesday at 9am.
