Friday, July 4Niagara Snaps Back, Crushes Chili Pepper
The Niagara Snapper's offence continued it's torrid pace last night at Ker Park in a 14-4 thrashing of St. Catharines RHCP in GHFL league play. Once again the long ball played a huge part with Scott Young, Todd Dawdy and Dan Bernard all going yard. For Young, the home run made it 6 home runs in the last 4 games and leaves him with 9 on the year. Peter Dobbin continued carrying the hot stick as well, with a 3-3 night and 3 RBI's. Matt Bedrosian and Perry Bartley each also chipped in with 2 RBI's and Trevor Falk showed his worth to the team by scoring 4 runs.
Jason Paylove pitched 3 workman like innings to pick up the win with Mike Bateman coming in for the final 3 and ringing up 5 strikeouts for his 3rd save of the GHFL season. Next action is Friday July 4th with a GHFL double header against the Niagara Falls Fury at 7pm and the Niagara Dawgs at 9pm at Lancaster Park in St. Catharines.
