St. Thomas, ON - The Niagara Snappers were on a roll. With four consecutive wins and 31 runs scored over those four games at the 2007 OASA Intermediate Eliminations, the Snappers were confident going into their semi final tilt with the Port Elgin Blue Devils. Blue Devil starter, Steve Ketchel seemed to be feeling pretty good himself and proved to be too much as he held Niagara down for most of the game leading Port Elgin to a 4-2 win and ended Niagara's hopes of a first ever OASA title. Port Elgin would go on to lose to Doug Charlton's Alvinston Indians in the final. Congratulations to the Indians on a great weekend of ball. The veteran club appears to have their game in form at just the right time. This weekend proved once again that the competition in this province is as good as it gets. Summaries below.
