TRYOUTS HAVE BEEN POSTPONED
We are working to resolve some coaching issues in each age group. Tryouts and the draft for tomorrow have been canceled. We will form teams on Tuesday, February 24th, with practices to begin that same week. We are looking for additional coaches in the 6U, 8U & 10U age groups. Please email Larry Roberts - lwr1122@bellsouth.net if you are able to coach a team in these age groups.
Spring is just around the corner...
... and we're getting ready for another great season of softball at NHYS.
We hope that you'll join us for the 2009 spring season. To make sure that we continue to provide the best learning and playing environment, we are changing our rules format to ASA-only for all age groups. We will however, keep the 8U pitching format. The other parks in the county have also adopted this decision so there will not be any confusion or "park specific rules" .
SPECIAL NOTE: We understand that times are tough for many of us and to recognize this we are offering a raffle/rebate for each player. With every registration, each player will receive 10 raffle tickets, each marked for $3. It will be the parent's choice to keep the tickets for a chance to win a $150 gas/gift card or sell the tickets to offset the cost of the registration. The winning ticket will be drawn on opening day and announced on this website.
The HANDOUTS page also includes our team / league sponsorship form for those that wish to help an NHYS team with the many expenses that a youth softball team incurs or wishes to advertise at a multi-purpose youth athletic facility.

FAQ's:
A - Actually, it's not new and it is not an NHYS rule. It is a Henry Co. ordinance (The police officer can cite the exact one for you, if you're caught lighting up!) and it is posted at or near the entrance in all Henry County parks. Basically, from the moment you pull into the park, no smoking is allowed. We must help to enforce this rule. HCPD will issue citations.

The NHYS RAIN-OUT HOTLINE is now available! When you have questions about field conditions or if games are still to be played as scheduled, please call 678.228.6101. The NHYS hotline will be updated at least one hour prior to the start of the first game of the day.
