TYSL IS IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS

TYSL IS IN NEED OF VOLUNTEERS TO KEEP THE LEAGUE RUNNING!!

Each season the organization remains under staffed.  We have several volunteers who do a majority of the work, however they will be leaving at the end of this year.  TYSL will not be able to continue operating without an IMMEDIATE influx of new volunteers!!  Unfortunately this is a reality.  The organization needs to fill the positions listed below as quickly as possible in order to be able to provide training.  We need volunteers from all age divisions to maintain the current level of service we provide to our members and their children.  Please do not delay and contact us by e-mail at nhtysl@timberlaneyouthsoccer.org or you may call Mike Spero at 603-247-5758 with any questions.

Grade 8 Referee Course
There is a grade 8 ref course being offered 1/23 & 1/24 in Atkinson. This is a full two day program with the ref exam being offered at the conclusion of the course. PLEASE contact Jack Merriken (JWMerriken@aol.com or 560-2395). Currently we have lots of open seats f Interested new referee candidates should contact me or go online at www.ussoccer.info to preregister and prepay for this Grade 8 course.
INFO:  You must be 12yo to participate!
GRADE 8:  This course is a 16-hour intensive training in the Laws of the Game.  Graduates who also pass the 100 question exam are eligible to work recreational or travel games as referees or assistant referee up to the U-19 level.  The State Referee Committee strongly recommends that, whenever possible, referees with less than one year experience not be assigned as the center referee. Of course, no assignments are made to higher level games until new referees are willing and able to work at that level.

Please plan on attending the entire course, regardless of games, practices or other commitments.  Those leaving may have to make up the time at another course offered by NHSA at an additional expense.
You must pre-register for all entry level clinics in order to attend.  No registrations will be allowed at the door.
The method for pre-registration will be via https://www.ussoccer.info only.  Registration via the online method will require credit or debit card to pay for the clinic fee and USSF registration fee.
You must first create a new user ID and then sign back in to https://www.ussoccer.info to select the actual class and submit referee registration (approved upon completion of class including exam).  To get more specific directions, please do the following to download a document of step-by-step directions:
2. Click on "Guest User" (just above mailbox name)
3. Enter the following information at the login screen
- E-Mailbox Name = sra
- Guest Login = RefNH
- Guest Password = soccernh
4. At the "Today" screen, click on "File Storage" on left hand menu
5. A list of files will be shown - select "GUIDE TO ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR NEW REFEREES.pdf"

To get more information about the clinic you are interested in, please contact the name for the specific course.  That person will also be able to email you directions on how to register for the class you are interested in.  The following information applies to all clinics:

  • Students are expected to attend the entire course.  Please plan accordingly.
  • Course fees:
    • $50.00 for Grade 8
  • USSF Registration fees:
    • $40.00 for Grade 8
When you register online, you will pay for both the class fee and USSF registration.  If a student does not achieve a passing score for the class, they will be able to get the USSF registration fee refunded or they may re-take the exam at another location.  If the second option is chosen, they do not have to re-take the entire class just the exam.  Contact the SDI, see below, for further information should this be an issue.

Your Input is Important

TYSL Volunteers would like to let our members know that your comments are important to us.  It is our committment to continue to improve our services and communication.  In an effort to do that we would like to hear from you.  Please take a minute and send an e-mail with your ideas on ways to improve TYSL.  Our first challenge has and always will be to solicit volunteer time.  This league would not be in existence if it were not for hard working individuals who sacrifice their time to manage the many different activities every season.  Please e-mail us at nhtysl@timberlaneyouthsoccer.org.  We look forward to hearing from you!!
