Runner-up at the SMAC (26.57, 0.33 back of first) and 3A-2A-1A South regional meets (26.39, less than a second back); at the 3A-2A-1A state meet, placed eighth in 26.56.
100 free: Lacosse
Third at SMAC (1:00.74), seventh at 3A-2A-1A South regional (1:02.55) and took 10th at the 3A-2A-1A state meet (1:01.06).
100 fly: Kara Klem, Northern junior
11th at SMAC (1:17.10), seventh at 3A-2A-1A South regional meet (1:14.46) and clocked a 1:13.65 to place 15th at the 3A-2A-1A state meet.
200 free relay: Northern (Amy Lacosse**, Jenny Ryon, Katie Gitlin, Kaitlin Gray)
Fifth at SMAC (1:56.15), sixth at 3A-2A-1A South regionals (1:57.61) and took 10th at 3A-2A-1A state meet (1:56.41).

**The name of another team's swimmer was printed in the Recorder in error in Amy Lacosse's place. In addition, Kendall Longsworth swam as part of this relay at Regionals and States instead of Katie Gitlin.

Boys' Coach of the year -- Erin Israel
Northern (second season)
Resume: Despite a roster of three seniors and 13 underclassmen, the Patriots finished perfect 12-0 to win the SMAC regular-season title; claimed title despite knee injury to George Pavelko (swam 100 back, 200 free, relays); average margin of victory was 65 points; defeated three teams by more than 100 points; 3-0 in meets decided by 10 points or less; finished third at SMAC meet and placed second at 3A-2A-1A South regional meet; took eighth place at 3A-2A-1A state meet despite missing key sprinter

Runner-up at SMAC (1:00.20) and 3A-2A-1A South regional (1:00.99) meets; sixth at 3A-2A-1A state meet with 1:00.54
400 free relay: Northern (B. Williamsz, Lacosse, Cranford, Nick Lindner)
Third at SMAC meet with 3:44.39, including Cranford’s team-best split of 52.25 seconds; won 3A-2A-1A South regional crown in 3:37; with Eric Carr replacing Cranford at the 3A-2A-1A state meet, foursome finished fifth (3:42.70)
