Three major issues facing sports officials today are being addressed by NASO on a national level. Sadly, there has been a disturbing increase in the number of reported assaults, and lawsuits against the men and women who officiate our games. In addition, many states are now questioning the status of sports officials in the area of employee/employer versus independent contractor.
