The 18U North Florida Hurricanes Showcase Team won the Blue-Grey Classic at the Houston Astros Spring Training Complex in Kissimmee, Florida. The tourney ran from Friday, October 24th – Sunday, October 26th. The Canes swept all six games. Players and coaches front row, left to right are: Travis Tyson, Ryan Mahoney, Kyle Wilfong, Billy Mayberry, Tanner Gregg, and Shaun LeClaire.
Back row, left to right are: Coach Jim Timmons, David Lee, Tyler Hooten, Jimmy Appleby, Garrett Bush, Ethan Bader, Chris Patrick, Tal Gerald, Weston Hoekel, and Coach Mark Campbell. Hoekel was the winning pitcher in the final game 5-4 in extra innings.
