Tournament: BC 9/10 Provincal Championship, Round Robin
Interesting going on in Victoria where 5 teams finished with identical 3-2 records in the round robin. Little Mountain took 1st place on an impressive defensive prowess ratio. Whalley, Esquimalt, Mr. Seymour and Hastings were 2nd to 5th place.

Little League: New Westminster
Tournament: D6 Major All-star, Round Robin
Teams: Hastings vs South Vancouver
Hastings led 14:1 after the 3rd inning. They had 19 players at bat and scored 13 runs in the top of the 4th inning. South Van had two outs early. They finally forced the Hastings last out at home with the bases loaded.

Host Little League: South Vancouver
Tournament: D6 Minor All-star, Round Robin
Teams: New Westminster vs Trout Lake
New West needed to beat Trout Lake and take 3rd place by scoring 20 runs. Trout Lake only gave up total 4 runs in two previous games. After 3 innings of play, Trout Lake led 8:3. At the top of the 4th inning, New West had 16 players at bat and scored 12 runs. The final score, New West beat Trout Lake 16:15 but still took 4th place.

16 players entered to the 44th Hyack Home Run Derby. Robbey Panico of Hasting Expos beat Curtis Taylor of Coquitlam Giants after 3 overtimes. Here are the home runs they hit:

2nd OT (5 hits): 2:2
3rd OT (5 hits): 2:1

Tournament: D6 Rookies All-star, Round Robin
Teams: New Westminster vs South Vancouver inning
New West led 5:1 after the top of the 5th inning and 5:2 after the top of the 6th inning, South Van tied the game and almost beat New West in the bottom of the 6th inning by a few New West errors. New West led 8:5 in the top of the 8th inning, but South Van tied the score again. In the top of the 11th inning, New West scored two more runs, but South Van answered back with 4 straight hits and ended the game with a game winning triple.
Three days later, two teams played again in the semi final. New West beat South Van 5:1 to advance to the final!
