Little League Child Protection Program
|
All local Little Leagues are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams. Individuals are also required to complete and submit a Little League Volunteer Application to their local league.
You can read more about this program on the Little League Baseball web page at the following link.
The volunteer application can be downloaded here. Please complete the form and mail it along with a copy of one form of picture ID (such as a driver's license) to the Newville Little League, PO Box 44, Newville, PA 17241-0044 or you may bring it to the Newville Firehouse on one of the Registration days.

PA District 14 Umpire Clinic
|
Pennsylvania District 14 Little League Baseball will be sponsoring an Umpire Training Clinic at the Newville American Legion Post #421, 28 Shepherd Road,
Newville on Thursdays March 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th, 2009. The time each day will be from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Please print the Umpire Registration Form and complete it prior to the first session.
Note at the bottom of the form that it requires the signature of the League President, Denise Miller, or her duly appointed representative.
While the clinics are now being fully funded by PA District 14, this signature is simply an assurance that we're not providing free
training for non-affiliated leagues or non-affiliated umpires.
For additional information about District 14 Umpire Training check out the Pennsylvania District 14 Little League Umpires
on the web, send email to Bill Meyers or call him at (717) 476-1995.
