Newtown Rock 14U Elite: Welcome
The Newtown Rock 14U Elite Team is comprised of eleven dedicated players that are very competitive and exhibit a high energy and aggressive style. We train at the highest level under the direction of Joe Garvey, elite gold coach and president of the Rock program and we strive to push our players to take their game to the next level. Our schedule consists of a mix of 14U, 16U and 18U Class A tournaments and showcases, culminating with the honor of representing the State of Pennsylvania at the ASA USA National Championships in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Our winter training was very intense and our spring is off to a great start with two tournament wins: a 6-0 record at the Rock Spring Classic (14U) and a 3-0 record at the Third Annual Autism Speaks WFC World Series Qualifier Tournament (16U); in addition to a 2-0 record at the weather-shortened Cherry Blossom Pony National Qualifier Tournament (14U) and a 5-0 record at the weather-shortened Rock Memorial Day Tournament (14U).
We had a very successful fall, winning 4 out of 5 tournaments, while recording 30 wins, 5 losses and 3 ties in a mix of 14U, 16U & 18U tournaments and college showcases. The team was undefeated at the 14U level, with their only losses coming from three 18U teams and two 16U teams.
We practice and play every game as a team, with an emphasis on skill development, mental approach, teamwork, sportsmanship and a genuine respect for the game. We provide a team environment that maximizes the potential of every player by teaching fundamentals, developing skills, motivating and building self-confidence, while maintaining a positive experience for our players. Our team also believes in giving back to the community.

The Newtown Rock Softball Association is based in Newtown, PA with our home fields located at Helen Randle Park on Swamp Road, across from the Bucks County Community College. The Rock organization is one of the most highly regarded and training intensive programs in the tri-state area and provides significant advancement opportunity in travel softball, all the way through to the 18U Gold college showcase team.
