The fall Baseball program is run by Newton East (Majors and AAA) and Newton Central (AA) and is a competitive program with opponents with other Newton Little Leagues as well as Needham, Belmont, Brookline, Waltham and Weston.

Beginning in early September, two games per week are played (one weekday and one on Sunday) for six weeks. The fall programs are extremely important for players’ development, since they are more or less the equivalent of another spring season of experience. For purposes of the fall league, participants must be age eligible for the 2010 Little League Spring Season (see table above).

Each League is responsible for recruiting and registering their own teams and must provide a Little League Field and Umpires for games played at that field.

Majors and AAA Division Programs – Consists of players who were members of a Major Division team in the spring of 2009 and will be eligible for the 2010 Little League Spring Season. Additionally, all league age 12 year olds will be placed onto Major league rosters to ready them for the Spring 2010 season (unless a waiver is granted). 10 and 11 year old players that have yet to play a Spring Major League Season may be placed on either a majors or AAA team, which will be determined by coaches evaluations from previous seasons. Please note that this does not guarantee that these players will be drafted by a Major League team the following spring. All Players meeting this criteria should register for the Majors/AAA Division Program, consisting of players who were members of a majors or AAA Minor Division team in the spring of 2009 and will remain eligible for the 2010 Little League Spring Season.

Minor AA Division Program (NEW FOR 2010) – Consists of players who were members of a AA Minor Division team in the spring of 2009 and will remain eligible for the 2010 Little League Spring Minor League Season. Farm League players entering 3rd grade are eligible for Fall Minor Division play provided they have some level of "kid pitch" experience (such as playing in the summer 7-9 year old league run by Newton West) and/or coach recommendation (commissioner's decision is final). Players are combined on fall teams, based on the number of registrants. AA rules are used.
