New Tampa Wildcats: Welcome
|
New Tampa Wildcats was the first youth football and cheerleading organization in the New Tampa area. From its inception in 1997 the goal of the New Tampa Wildcats has been to build a “first in class” and “best in class” youth football and cheerleading organization in New Tampa with an emphasis on learning the game, building values and having fun. Our Board of Directors and Coaches are committed to our three priorities:
1. Developing Future Leaders
2. Ensure a Safe and Fun Environment
3. Excelling in Competition and Sportsmanship
Originally the Wildcats were affiliated with Pop Warner and latter changed its affiliation to the Pasco Police Athletic League (PPAL). From 2003 to 2007 the Wildcats have won 8 PPAL Super Bowl Championships, 4 Super Bowl runner ups and 2 Cheer Off Championships. In 2008 the Wildcats joined the Mid Florida Football and Cheer Conference. In their first year of competition, the Wildcats placed 5 football teams in the playoffs with 3 teams winning District Championships and a Super Bowl runner up. The Cheerleaders also had an amazing championship season with two teams placing first place and two placing second place in the MFFCC cheer off. In 2009 the New Tampa Wildcats announced that they are extremely pleased and excited to once again assign their league affiliation to Pop Warner and the Foundation of Youth Development. The Wildcats colors are navy and silver and home games are played at the Wildcats Field, Live Oak Sports Complex.
