Derek Mitchell - For his pre-season work ethic and leadership for a team that was dealing with many injuries. sickness and other situations.
Jamal Brito and Shannon Tucker - their efforts during game 1 ve Belmont allowed the team to reach goal number one for the season. Shannon's defensive efforts against Belmont's top scorer and Jamal timely shooting helped to propel the team to victory number 1.
Kris Maclean and Ethan Reynolds - their effort throughout teh tournament. Kris breaking out of his scoring slump leading us to victory with 15 points vs Kingswood and totaling 32 points in 3 games including 7 three point shots. Ethan leading us with 24 points in our come back (again) vs Belmont and totaling 47 points in the three games. Ethan was named to the first team and Kris was named to the second team for All Tournament Teams.
Derek Mitchell - once again showing leadership and poise with Jamal gone and our point guard position down from 3 players to 2 - in 4 games Derek averaged over 5 assists and 4 steals and did not get into foul trouble in leading the team to a 3-1 mark over that time frame. Derek was named as the third team captain for his efforts.
Zach Sevearns for rescuing the JV team in the 4th quarter at White Mtns. Three days after a heart breaking miss at teh end ofthe game from the foul line vs Franklin, Zach made 9-12 free throws in the 4th quarter to bring the Bears back from 10 points down at the start of the quarter to win the game by 1.
Chris Woolsey for stepping up in the second half of the WHite Mtns game when Ethan and Justin were on the bench with 4 fouls each. His rebounding and defense in the second half helped to secure the 4th victory of the season.
Justin Tivey - for his best game of the season vs Gilford - 1/15/06 - enough said. He was watching and he is proud.
