RV-SJ Female Hockey Association: Welcome

RV-SJ Female Hockey Association

Great news for female hockey in New Brunswick!

Together, the Saint John Youth Minor Hockey Association and River Valley Female Hockey Association, are excited to announce, that starting with the 2014-2015 hockey season, their female programs will combine into one larger association. By combining the 2 programs, they solidify themselves as the largest female association in the province. See more details on our news page...

Working on cooperation and joining the girls together will provide more and better opportunities for all of the girls. Last year, within the Southern NB Female Hockey League, River Valley and KV streamed their Atom girls into A and C teams. With greater numbers this program will be able to continue and expand to include the Peewee level. River Valley has been able to offer IP and Novice teams and this program will continue to grow and offer the opportunity for more girls at these age groups. Saint John Youth has established a strong program with great coaching and brings a lot to the merger. With a combined 5 teams making the DOC (3 DOC champions) and 5 teams making provincial finals (2 provincial titles), this group of girls will be a force to be reckoned with!

As time is of the essence to get the association registered for the 2014-2015 season, the association will be known as the RV-SJ Female Hockey Association for the 2014-2015 season and jerseys from both associations will be used for teams. The plans for next season are to explore a name change, association colours and team branding.
