Volleyball Performance Enhancement exists for the purpose of reducing the likelihood of injury and to enhance performance through an integrated approach using a scientifically proven program that focuses on reactive, neuromuscular, core, balance, and strength training.

Physical Training Camp
Physical Training Camp (PT)
PT sessions are designed for 10-14 year old athletes who want to improve foundational strength and conditioning. They consist of a variety of training techniques including reactive, speed, agility, quickness, resistance, and core training. Sessions are interactive and consist of games and exercise that challenge players to develop performance enhancing skills and enhance hand-eye coordination.
Advanced Physical Training Camp (APT)
APT sessions are designed to optimize performance and prepare players to take their game to the next level. APT sessions are open to players who have previously attended PT camp and current 14’s players. Athletes must have sufficient core and neuromuscular coordination to participate in sessions. APT is designed to enhance vertical jump, foot speed, power, and reactive neuromuscular responses. Sessions will consist of a variety of modalities and techniques that will focus on reactive, speed, agility, quickness, balance, core, and resistance training. Athletes may opt into APT with coach Wehrli’s permission. An evaluation may be required to determine if APT is the appropriate training program for the specific athlete.
Signing Up
Sessions are always open for newcomers from any club. For cost see the pricing chart below. Recommended attire for the camp is workout clothes and running/volleyball shoes. A short questionairre is required prior to attendance for record keeping and contact information. Parents are free to drop their daughters off and pick them up at the designated end time. See the calendar for days and times of session.
Staff
Physical Training Camp is directed by Andrew Wehrli. Andrew is certified by multiple National Organizations for Strength and Conditioning. He is the co-head strength and conditioning coach for Volleyball Performance Enhancment. He is not only a specialist in the field of performance enhancement, but also a volleyball coach. He currently coaches for Skutt Catholic High School and Nebraska Elite.

Personal Training
Initial Fitness Assessment - $25.00
One hour session consisting of a postural assessment, fitness testing, and body composition analysis.
Your first session with Volleyball Performance Enhancement will assess your goals, skills, performance tendencies, and assessment values. Then, our fitness professionals will utilize the latest research and established techniques to build a customized program to improve your game.

Sports Nutrition Consultation- $40.00 One hour session consisting of a nutritional analysis and diet recommendations for performance enhancement and optimal health. Nutrition consultations include meal plans, recipes, client tracking, health questionnaires, nutrition handouts, reports, and much more. Basic Package- $75.00 Four sessions, consisting of an initial evaluation, weekly nutrition consultations with meal plans and guidance from a certified sports nutritionist. Advanced Package- $125.00 An initial evaluation, weekly nutrition consultations, current food intake analysis, body fat assessment, individualized dietary recommendation with meal plans and guidance from a certified sports nutritionist. Team Training
The 15's - 18's participate in team training two-three times a week with one of Volleyball Performance Enhancement's certified strength and conditioning coaches at the Volleyball Center. Sessions will consist of hour long workouts that focus on reactive, neuromuscular, core, balance, and strength training.

Athletic Testing
Purpose: The purpose of athletic testing is to determine a starting point for players as well as evaluating the overall effectiveness of the strength and conditioning program. It provides the medium to best individualize the program to meet the needs of the most participants. Athletes will also have the opportunity to see results and monitor improvements.
What tests: Athletic testing is a comprehensive series of tests. The selected tests will consist of a variety of measures. Results are strictly confidential. Tests are designed to assess both physical attributes and volleyball related athletic skills.
Testing dates: Testing will be facilitated on Sunday December 14. The 15's - 18's will be tested from 12 PM to approximately 2 PM. The 14's will be tested from 3:30 - 4:30. Athletes must arrive at The Volleyball Center 10 minutes early.
What do I need to bring: If you have not already completed the PAR-Q (physical activity readiness questionnaire) and contact information sheet, please download the forms below and complete them. Appropriate attire for athletic testing is athletic shorts, tennis shoes, and a Nebraska Elite t-shirt.

Nebraska Elite partners with Alegent Health
Nebraska Elite is excited to announce that Alegent Health Sports Medicine will once again partner with Volleyball Performance Enhancement!
Alegent Health Sports Medicine will provide a variety of services for athletes during this upcoming club season.
Alegent is excited to implement Sportsmetrics™, an ACL injury reduction and performance enhancement program, with all the 14's -16's teams this year.
We are also pleased to announce another new option available to Nebraska Elite Volleyball players: Nutrition for Sports Performance. During the course of the club season, we will offer multiple nutrition seminars geared towards teaching athletes and parents how to eat healthy and enhance performance through nutrition. Ashley Rasmussen, a certified sports nutritionist, will partner with Volleyball Performance Enhancement to provide players with opportunities to pursue nutritional counseling.

Andrew Wehrli
Co-Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, Volleyball Coach
Andrew is certified by multiple National Organizations for Strength and Conditioning. He is the co-head strength and conditioning coach for NESC. He is not only a specialist in the field of performance enhancement, but also a volleyball coach. He currently coaches for Skutt Catholic High School and Nebraska Elite. Andrew possesses a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology, a Masters degree in Fitness and Wellness Management, and is currently pursuing a Doctrate in Sports Psychology. Andrew has traveled around the country attending national conventions and coaching at various university camps. Andrew has been with Nebraska Elite since 2007. Prior to coaching for Nebraska Elite, Andrew coached for Grace University. During his time at Grace, the Royals won the 2006 NCCAA National Championship.

Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Exercise and Health Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She also holds certifications in Sports Nutrition and SportsmetricsTM. She currently works with Omaha area high school athletes, developing sport-specific nutrition meal plans as well as training female athletes in an ACL injury reduction and performance enhancement program known as SportsmetricsTM. She has been with Nebraska Elite since 2007. She will be assisting with strength training sessions, running the Sportsmetrics™ training programs for the 14-16 year old teams, and conducting Sports Nutrition consultations with individual athletes.
