Fact or Fiction!
Nebraska Elite Volleyball does not allow you to play other sports – FICTION – The FACT is our 2009 seniors had success in basketball, track, soccer, and tennis in High School. One of our players player in 4 different sports during her club season and one of our players even played in 2 High School Basketball All-Star games. Additionally, we had 2 prom Queens!
Nebraska Elite Volleyball practices 4 days a week – FICTION – The FACT is our teams practice 2 times per week and some do one an additional practice and/or work out. If you actually add up the number of practices any of our teams have from the beginning of the 5 month season – the beginning of December for our high school age groups, through the end of April, we actually have fewer practices than your high school team had in it’s 3 month season.
Nebraska Elite Volleyball is expensive. – FICTION – The FACT is if you compare club fees between the top clubs in the Omaha area, in some cases, we are actually less expensive. If you calculate the cost based on the return, we are the least expensive as we have consistently outperformed every club in the city and state.
Make an informed choice, if you have questions, give me a call at 203-0494.

Youth Development Program - Everyone Makes A Team
 |
|
No Tryouts!
It is back and better than ever! Nebraska Elite Volleyball is excited to announce that we will be running the Youth Development Program starting in November.
The Youth Development Program is a lighter version of club volleyball for Grades 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th. The programs success can be see in the results of our 12 & under club teams from this past season, our top 2 teams in that age division qualified for USA Junior Olympic Volleyball Championships with our top team finishing 3rd in the country!
The program was put together by Amy Feekin Hamilton, the only club coach in Nebraska to win a USA Volleyball National Qualifier in the 12's & 13's age divisions. Amy's success in developing players in these age groups has helped Nebraska Elite Volleyball move into a position of dominance in the Great Plains Region.
Players will be trained by Nebraska Elite coaches in a camp style setting for 15 weeks, generally 2 times per week, and have controlled scrimmages on those nights throughout the program. The focus of the program will be on skill development, volleyball rules, and officiating, not scoring points and winning. Individual skill development will be tracked on a nightly basis.
Players and parents will also participate in Volleyball 101, an introductory class about volleyball to be conducted during the program by club director Tony Carrow.
Each player will receive a pair of spandex, 2 t-shirts, whistle and a program book. The program will end with an awards celebration at the Asics Presidents' Day Classic in February.
No tryouts, great results!

What does 10 + 1 Equal?
With the additional bid the region received today, Nebraska Elite Lightning has joined our other 8 teams we qualifed in the region and adding the bids Extreme and Tonka received at National Qualifiers, we now have a total of 11 teams heading to Miami for the USA Junior Olympics National Championships!!
This sets a new region record breaking the previous record that Elite had set of qualifying 9 teams. We are the only club ever to qualify a team in every age group and we have done this now 6 times. Finally, we broke our record for most second teams in an age division to qualify with 4.
We are also extremely proud of our Lincoln Elite Lasers 16's for winning the Northern Lights Qualifier and qualifing for nationals.
Great job to all of the players, coaches and trainers!

Volleyball Performance Enhancement
 |
|
Starting in December!
Physical Training Camp (PT)
PT sessions are designed for 10-14 year old athletes who want to improve foundational strength and conditioning. They consist of a variety of training techniques including reactive, speed, agility, quickness, resistance, and core training. Sessions are interactive and consist of games and exercise that challenge players to develop performance enhancing skills and enhance hand-eye coordination.
Advanced Physical Training Camp (APT)
APT sessions are designed to optimize performance and prepare players to take their game to the next level. APT sessions are open to players who have previously attended PT camp and current 14’s players. Athletes must have sufficient core and neuromuscular coordination to participate in sessions. APT is designed to enhance vertical jump, foot speed, power, and reactive neuromuscular responses. Sessions will consist of a variety of modalities and techniques that will focus on reactive, speed, agility, quickness, balance, core, and resistance training. Athletes may opt into APT with coach Wehrli’s permission. An evaluation may be required to determine if APT is the appropriate training program for the specific athlete.
