New Practice Times
Note that all Neptune practices have been moved up 15 minutes. This is to allow all swimmers additional time for dryland training. This is not weight lifting. It is used to increase the core body strength and flexibility of the Neptune swimmers. Please have your swimmers at the Y early enough so they are ready to start working at 5:15 or 6:15 depending on the color group. Swimmers should wear shorts, tee-shirt, gym shoes or other appropriate dryland workout clothes OVER their swimsuit. After Dryland they will go directly to the the pool for swim workout. Though dryland will often be on the patio outside Blake pool, please meet by the registration desk to be directed to the proper location (in case of rain or other activities)

Breastroke Photo
Here is a picture of Brendan Hansen at the start of a breastroke event.
Note that Brendan, in the center lane has finished his underwater armstroke and his hands are in a streamlined glide. The other two swimmers are just completing armstrokes.
All three are looking at the bottom of the pool.
All three are starting a kick to bring them to the surface.
The kicks show the knees are down and feet are turned outward.
