Saturday Nemesis Gold had three games in pool play. Nemesis Gold dominated all day as the team scored 28 runs and only allowed 5 total in the 3 games. The offensive onslaught was led by Kayla edwards who went 6 of 7 including two triple's and one homerun. The highlight of the day was Daisy Gonzalez who pitched a complete shutout against So Cal Breakers.
Sunday NE Gold started their single game elimination against Al Epoch. This game was decided by the defense as their was plays made all over the field. Kiana  made plays that got the lead runner out on 3 different occassions which were huge as this eliminated Al Epoch getting thier lead off batter on base.
Vs. Next Level it was more of the same. NE fell behind early but climbed thier way back behind  clutch hits by Amanda Castro who drove in 4rbi's. This game also show cased NE Gold's great defense as Sera Dennis and Kiana Hinson made play after play. The game was highlighted by Dejanae Davis making a double play to end an inning as she caught a fly ball to center field and throw out a runner at home plate to end an inning. NE Gold moved on to the Championship game with a 6-3 victory.

Championship game NE faced Lidle a team NE beat in pool play 9-2. But the girls seemed to run out of steam as this was the third game in a row. This was evident as NE made mental and physical errors that they did not make all weekend which ultimately led to a 9-4 loss. All and all the team played fabulous and especially the fact that the girls over came obstacles such as entering the tournament without the teams number 1 starting catcher (Mak Garcia) and starting pitcher and number three batter (Kamry Bellamy)

Daisy - Great job pitching 3 games
Emilie - Hitting (Homerun to leftfield)

In pool play, first game of the day started off great scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning. After that our hitting fell flat. The girls would hit the ball but it was enough to really score some runs. Our defense was great no errors were made and our girls held them off not allowing the other team to score. Daisy pitched a great game striking out 5 players and allowed no runners on base.

The second game of the day started off with the other team scoring 5 runs in the 1st then 4 more runs in the 2nd inning. However our girls did not give up and were able score another 2 runs by the end of the game. Great relay with a fly ball to Haylee "Lil Bit" in centerfield to Lani on 2nd then to Brianna at 1st for the out.

The third game of the day started off similar to the second where the other team scored 5 runs in the 1st inning, but it ended there. The girls started hitting, beginning with Lani hitting a bomb out to right field for a triple. In the second inning Emilie smashed the ball into left field for a home run. In the 3rd  inning both Daisy and Bailey had 1 RBI each. Defensively no errors were made after that horrible 1st inning. Daisy came back to pitch the entire game striking out 4 and again not allowing any runners on base. At the end of pool play the team came in 2nd place.

Bracket play started off with a 0-0 score at the end of the 1st inning. Then in the 2nd inning the score was tied at 2-2, and then the Blue made a bad illegal pitch call rattling our pitcher. The girls were able to score 1 run in the 3rd inning, but the bad calls kept coming when the Blue made another illegal pitch call and had a very inconsistent strike zone allowing players on base. It just took 1 hit by the opposing team in the 3rd inning to score the winning run. It was a very disappointing game to say the least.
